Florida sports betting is expected to be big business again as the NFL season begins.

With online sports betting booming in Florida, clinical psychologist Dr. Justin D’Arienzo warns against the lure of gambling. “I tell people…stay away. Don’t even start,” he says, pointing to the pervasive celebrity endorsements and ease of access. D’Arienzo cautions that, despite its legality, sports betting is likely to lead to addiction issues that society will need to manage, calling it “another addiction that we’re going to have to…manage.”
