Why should I take this course from D’Arienzo Psychology?

Don’t be fooled by course instructors who have online Ph.D’s from unaccredited institutions that never led to licensure to practice psychology or those without actual psychology firms who don’t practice psychology. Dr. D’Arienzo sees thousands of couples, is a board certified clinical psychologist and the only actual psychologist who provides online premarital courses. He is a doctor of psychology and psychologist, and not a counselor. He is the real deal! You deserve the best!

Dr. D’Arienzo is an Internationally Recognized Psychologist and Relationship Expert, Professor, Author, and Former Active Duty Navy Psychologist who uses psychological science to help couples. He offers no gimmicks about cracking any codes, and just shares how to use the last three decades of relationship science to have a successful relationship.

Course Savings: For $30 per couple to take our online course, you will save $75 on your Minnesota Marriage License Application resulting in your marriage license costing $40 dollars instead of the regular price of $115. I purchased the course a few hours ago but I never received the password. What should I do?

You should receive 2 automatic emails immediately after purchasing the course. Both of these emails (receipt and instructions) are from WooCommerce (secure e-commerce site) with instructions on how to access the course and your password. If you did not receive any emails, then you may have provided an inaccurate email address when purchasing and will need to notify our office during regular business hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, EST) so we can send you the correct email. Do not buy the course again. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for WooCommerce to send the password. Be patient. Don’t worry, you will get your password and login instructions. Prior to calling us and panicking, check your junk or spam folder for the instructional email or receipt email as both will have instructions and a password and often end up in these folders. If these emails are not in your junk or spam folders, and it is after hours, you can email us. We will do our best to send you the password. If we are unavailable to email you after hours, and you still can’t find it, please contact our office during regular business hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, EST) for assistance. Again, don’t panic, we are here to help you get through our course and to get you the certificate as quickly as possible.

How long does it take to get my certificate?

Online Minnesota Premarital Preparation Education Course: Once you complete the course, we are automatically notified. Within one business day we will mail you a hard copy of the certificate which must be physically signed by us. It takes up to one (1) week for your certificate to reach you in Minnesota from our Florida office. Again, we make every effort to get this certificate to you in a timely manner so you are a happy customer. Please ensure that you don’t need the certificate over night; however, we will overnight it to you, but there is an additional charge so plan again so you don’t need it to be overnighted.

How long is the certificate valid?

The certificate is valid for one year from the date it is issued.

How long does the course take?

Minnesota statutes require that you spend a minimum of twelve (12) hours on the premarital course. Every premarital course offered anywhere in Minnesota will require the same twelve hour minimum. The course material should take approximately two to three hours to read through or view. The rest of the time should be spent completing the activities together.

What if we finish the course in less than Minnesota’s required hours?

Our Minnesota premarital education course is structured to take the required amount of hours to complete, including all of the activities and exercises. In the event you complete the course in less than the required time (12 hours), please re-review the materials that were most significant to you and your relationship. Again, Minnesota law requires that you spend 12 hours on the course – these are not our rules but Minnesota’s rules. If you need to fill up the 12 hours then spend time discussing the great course material.

Does the course have to be completed in one sitting?

No. The Minnesota premarital education course is self-paced so you can log in and log out at your convenience. There is no timer function on our website so just make sure to track your own time and spend the required hours working on the course materials.

Do we both have to work on the course online at the same time, or can we work on it separately at different times?

We understand that some couples live far away from one another or may have conflicting work/school schedules that make it difficult for both parties to sit down and work on the course together. You may take the course at your own pace (separately OR together). You only need to submit the final quiz once and should do so after you both have finished working on the course. One of you can complete the final quiz for both of you to simplify this process.

Is an online course accepted in Minnesota?

Yes, if it is done by an authorized provider and meets the requirements of the law. There is also nothing designating that your premarital counseling was conducted online or face to face on your certificate.

My fiancé took the Keirsey Personality Test, but when I click on the link from the course it keeps bringing me back to the results of their test. How can I take the test too?

You have 3 options:

1.) When you click on the link from our course after someone has already completed the personality test, it will probably bring you to the test taker’s KTS-II History. On that page there is an option to “Retake the KTS-II” which is located right above the gray summary box. Clicking this option will allow the next person to take the test as well.

2.) Take the test using different internet browsers: If one person takes the test using Internet Explorer, the next can take the test using Chrome, Firefox, Safari or browser of choice. If using the same browser, go into browser settings and delete cookies after the first person takes their test. Click here to learn more about deleting cookies.

3.) We have provided a pdf form of the KTS-II that you can print out, complete, and score. This version will give you your four letter profile just as the electronic one will.

Other Questions?

Do not be overwhelmed by this process. We have been doing this in several states for several years. Simply follow the directions for payment, take the course together, take the final quiz, receive your certificate, and then save money on your Minnesota marriage license. It is that simple. If you do have other questions then please call our office at 904-379-8094 or email us at [email protected]

When a student makes a threat at school what do you do

When a Student Makes a Threat at School, What Do You Do? When a student makes a threat within a school environment, it’s a critical moment that demands a swift, comprehensive, and nuanced response. As psychologists, it’s clear that such situations are complex and involve numerous factors, including the mental health of the student, the safety of the school community, and legal considerations. Here are key steps schools should take in response to a threat: Immediate Action and Assessment
Ensure Immediate Safety: The first priority is to ensure the safety of all students and staff. This may involve securing the area, notifying security personnel, and possibly even a temporary lockdown, depending on the nature and severity of the threat. Evaluate the Threat: It’s essential to quickly assess the credibility and specificity of the threat. This involves determining whether the student has the means, motive, and opportunity to carry out the threat. Professionals trained in threat assessment should be involved in this process.
Involving the Right Resources. Mental Health Evaluation: A critical next step is to have the student evaluated by a mental health professional. This evaluation can help determine the underlying issues contributing to the threat, such as emotional distress, psychological disorders, or external pressures. Collaboration with Law Enforcement: In cases where the threat is deemed credible and specific, it’s crucial to involve law enforcement agencies. They can provide additional security, guidance, and ensure that any legal requirements are met.
