What do I need to do?

To Apply for a Marriage License in Quincy, GADSDEN COUNTY, Florida:

APPLICANTS MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE & HAVE  VALID IDENTIFICATION. FLORIDA RESIDENTS have two options:

A listing of Pre-marital course providers may be purchased for $2.00. If the course is taken PRIOR to applying for the marriage license you must bring in the CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION to show proof of completion.  If the couple does this, it will waive the 3-day waiting period and cost only $61.00 for the license.  If they want to get married at the Courthouse, they may do so for an additional $30.00 (cost of the ceremony). If the couple chooses NOT to take the pre-marital course, they apply for the license, pay the full price of $93.50 and wait the 3-day waiting period.

If they want to come back to the courthouse to get married, we will schedule an appointment at the time they obtain their license. If one party is a FLORIDA RESIDENT and one an OUT-OF-STATE resident, the couple applies for the marriage license, paying the full price of $93.50 and waiting the 3-day waiting period.  If they choose to get married at the Courthouse, they will schedule an appointment at the time they obtain their license.

Any FLORIDA marriage license MUST be used in the state of FLORIDA; it CANNOT be used in any other state. If BOTH parties are OUT-OF-STATE RESIDENTS, they apply for the marriage license (to be used in FLORIDA ONLY), pay $93.50 (no 3-day waiting period) and if they choose to marry at the courthouse, they will need the additional $30.00 for the ceremony, making their total cost $123.50.
