Session 5 Exercises

Materials Needed: small notebook & pen or computer tablet.

Over the next few days, provide three examples of using the ABCD model when you become stressed or angry. Describe the activating event, your initial belief that was likely false, the emotional or physiological consequence of the belief, and then dispute the belief and come up with a more balanced and realistic explanation.

In addition to providing examples of this, I would like you to think in this sequence when you become angered, stressed, or overwhelmed by an event over the next few days.
