[accordion-item title=”Are You Wondering if You would Benefit from Seeing a Psychologist?”]Are you stressed by a difficult relationship or work situation? Is a divorce threatening the custody or welfare of your children? When bad situations seem insurmountable and you are tired of carrying the burden alone, there is help. A psychologist is a doctorate level mental health professional (Doctor of Psychology) with the skills to counsel and coach you through even the most challenging circumstances.[/accordion-item]
[accordion-item title=”Do I Really Need Professional Therapy or Counseling?”]Sure, you can continue to carry the weight of infidelity, anxiety, substance abuse, depression, PTSD or other issue alone. However, why suffer when help is available? Do not let the fear or stigma of psychotherapy or counseling make you ignore the problem. A psychologist is specifically trained to guide you with empirically validated methods of assessment and treatment. Bottom line, you get real answers and real solutions to your dilemma.[/accordion-item]
[accordion-item title=”The True Cost of Divorce”]Did you know the average cost of a divorce is $30,000 with high conflict divorces costing upwards of $100,000? Yet quality marital therapy is only $600 to $3000 depending on the amount of sessions. So, from a strictly financial perspective, it is cheaper to fix a marriage than to end it. Even if divorce is ultimately the best answer, doing your due diligence to ensure the break up is necessary or to determine the best way to break up for the children is paramount. Also conducting a parenting plan evaluation at the beginning of the process will provide recommendations and guidelines for parenting and potentially eliminate contention and a protracted court battle.[/accordion-item]
[accordion-item title=”Coaching for Life?”]You are worth it. Whatever you are going through, you deserve to put the pain and anxiety behind you. Seeking help does not mean you are weak or that your problem is particularly bad. It just means that you are finally willing to take care of yourself and your family. Festering problems affect your entire life and keep you from reaching your true potential. The right life coach or executive coach can put you back on track.[/accordion-item]
[accordion-item title=”Why D’Arienzo Psychological Group?”]At D’Arienzo Psychological Group, we focus on you and we have staff with impressive credentials and experience. If you have been anywhere else, and then you work with us, we guarantee that you will see and feel the difference. If you are truly ready, we will get you the results that you are seeking. [/accordion-item]
[accordion-item title=”Why Should I Drive Across the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) or “Ditch” to See You? “]Well, we know the drive will be worth it based on the quality of our care and the expertise that you will find. Plus, you will find a sense of privacy that you don’t find by seeing a psychologist whose office is at the beach. Additionally, our fees are often less than psychologists and other health practitioners located at the beaches, and we are ten minutes away. [/accordion-item]
[accordion-item title=”Privacy is Our Number One Consideration”]We know you may be nervous about your first therapy session. That is why we are located just a few minutes from the beach and outside of Ponte Vedra. Because we are not in your immediate community, the chance of running into your neighbor is less likely. If it helps, we also have a back door.[/accordion-item]

When a student makes a threat at school what do you do

When a Student Makes a Threat at School, What Do You Do? When a student makes a threat within a school environment, it’s a critical moment that demands a swift, comprehensive, and nuanced response. As psychologists, it’s clear that such situations are complex and involve numerous factors, including the mental health of the student, the safety of the school community, and legal considerations. Here are key steps schools should take in response to a threat: Immediate Action and Assessment
Ensure Immediate Safety: The first priority is to ensure the safety of all students and staff. This may involve securing the area, notifying security personnel, and possibly even a temporary lockdown, depending on the nature and severity of the threat. Evaluate the Threat: It’s essential to quickly assess the credibility and specificity of the threat. This involves determining whether the student has the means, motive, and opportunity to carry out the threat. Professionals trained in threat assessment should be involved in this process.
Involving the Right Resources. Mental Health Evaluation: A critical next step is to have the student evaluated by a mental health professional. This evaluation can help determine the underlying issues contributing to the threat, such as emotional distress, psychological disorders, or external pressures. Collaboration with Law Enforcement: In cases where the threat is deemed credible and specific, it’s crucial to involve law enforcement agencies. They can provide additional security, guidance, and ensure that any legal requirements are met.
