The fears couples have about Counseling Jacksonville Fl

The relationship between a husband and a wife is the most special yet fragile relationship. Any sort of strain on the relationship can lead to a couple getting divorced. The repercussions that a divorce can have on the lives of not only the couple but their children are very grave to say the least. Therefore, it is important that marriage counseling is sought when the couple feels that their marriage in is danger. Marriage counselors are professionals who have been trained to handle family matters in between a couple. The advice of a counselor can help a couple resolving their differences and reconciling with each before it’s too late.

Many couples do not go to marriage therapists or counselors just because they are ashamed of the idea of bringing their family matters in front of a third party. Some couples also feel that by accepting that their marriage is in danger in front of a total stranger is only going to make things worse for them. All of these reasons are very futile ones and are given by couples who do not want to give their relationship another chance. Despite the idea that a stranger, who does not even know the couple, can help them in saving their marriage seems quite quirky, it is also a fact that marriage counseling has helped many couples in getting their relationships back on track.

The Jacksonville counseling services are famous all over the United States for their successful couple therapy which has helped numerous couples in rekindling their relationships which they thought were all but dead. All the counselors that are involved in providing counseling Jacksonville Fl services are well-trained and thorough professionals who know how to do their job. It is due to their training that the counselors in Jacksonville have been able to use marriage therapy so successfully.

Prescription Privileges for Specially Trained Psychologists

Psychologists are scientist-practitioners relying on real evidence and science when treating and evaluating patients. Adding to this training model, I want to share something I’m genuinely excited about that is both a personal and professional milestone that reflects my commitment to the evolving profession of psychology and expands what I hope to one day be able to offer patients in Florida.

In May 2026, I graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Postdoctoral Master’s Program in Clinical Psychopharmacology, an American Psychological Association’s (APA) designated program that prepares licensed psychologists for prescriptive authority in states where it is permitted. More recently (July 2026), I passed the Psychopharmacology Examination for Psychologists (PEP). The PEP is the national exam required for psychologists to pass who want to prescribe. It is an arduous test covering topics from clinical medicine, neuroscience, laboratory interpretation, general pharmacology to psychopharmacology. Passing it marks another real step forward in building advanced competency in this area. I worked my tail off to complete the program and pass the PEP while running our business, remaining active in the community and with my family, and seeing patients over the last two and a half years. My next step with psychopharmacology is to gain authority to prescribe in Louisiana and New Mexico. I will keep you updated.
