Dr. Dawn DiRito is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker originally from Baltimore, Maryland. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Master’s degree in Social Work and Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology. Dr. DiRito has worked in the mental health and addictions field, in both private practice and hospital settings, since 1997.
Dr. DiRito has enjoyed assisting individuals from infancy through their geriatric years with a wide range of issues, including family and relationship conflict, trauma, life transitions, mood disturbances, and grief and loss. Throughout the therapeutic relationship, Dr. DiRito empowers people to address their issues honestly and openly, take personal responsibility for those things that they are able to change or improve, and find their inner strength to strive towards a healthier and happier life. She utilizes a warm, down-to-earth approach in which clients feel free to relax and discuss intimate and sensitive issues.
Dr. DiRito currently lives at the beach, where she enjoys an active life that includes running, walking, time with friends and family, and travel to new places. She looks forward to meeting you and assisting you in creating a healthier and happier life for yourself and your family.
